Today I’m attending Quiet on the Creek, a Black LGBTQ+ hike at Sweetwater Creek State Park.
It’s so important for us to come together as a community outside of the clubs, parties, and everyday hustle—to breathe, move our bodies, build genuine connections, and reconnect with the Earth. There is something powerful about seeing Black LGBTQ+ people taking up space in nature, finding peace, building community, and simply being free.
Nature reminds us that we belong here too. The trees, water, fresh air, and Earth give us an opportunity to slow down, release, recharge, and reconnect—with ourselves and with each other.
